Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 May 2026.
By using Tiller, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
1. Beta status
Tiller is currently in private beta. Service is provided as-is, without uptime guarantees. We may change, restrict, or discontinue features without notice during the beta. Public-launch terms will be posted before any feature billing begins.
2. Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Don't share credentials. If you suspect a breach, email hello@tiller.run immediately.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Tiller to:
- Attack or probe systems you don't own or have permission to access
- Distribute malware, run mass-credential-testing, or operate phishing infrastructure
- Violate the laws of Georgia, the EU, or your own jurisdiction
- Circumvent security controls, including rate limits and authentication
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate the above. Where we can, we'll send a warning first; where we can't (e.g. obvious abuse), we'll terminate immediately.
4. Your servers
Tiller helps you reach servers you own or are authorised to access. The credentials you give us let us SSH on your behalf. You take responsibility for what those credentials grant access to. Tiller does not audit your authorisation; that's between you and the server's owner.
5. Privacy
Tiller's privacy practices are covered in detail in our privacy policy. The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't have analytics, and we encrypt your secrets at rest.
6. Intellectual property
Tiller's code, design, and documentation are owned by the Tiller authors. Your data — the servers you add, the terminal sessions you run, the files you upload — belong to you.
7. Disclaimer and liability
Tiller is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Tiller authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service. In any case, our total liability is capped at the amount you have paid for Tiller in the previous twelve months — which, during beta, is zero.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Data deletion is immediate. If we terminate your account for cause (e.g. acceptable-use violation), we'll explain why and let you export your server list before final deletion when feasible.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Any disputes that can't be resolved by good-faith conversation will be brought to the courts of Tbilisi.
